It is our pleasure to inform you about an open consultant position at the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP).

The Division of Technology, Industry and Economics (DTIE) of the United Nations Environment Programme is looking for a 2-year fulltime Implementation Coordinator of the project on ‘Increasing resource efficiency in international supply chains following a life cycle approach’.

The duty station of the position is UNEP DTIE in Paris, France. The implementation coordinator reports to the Head of the Integrated Resource Management Unit within the Sustainable Consumption and Production Branch and the Coordinator of the UNEP/SETAC Life Cycle Initiative. The focus of the job is to help implementing the project on ‘Increasing resource efficiency in international supply chains’ following a life cycle approach with an overall vision of ‘a world where life cycle approaches are mainstreamed’. The main tasks include the management and monitoring of the activities related to the project and the coordination and organization of capacity building activities and pilot projects in export-oriented economies including emerging economies and developing countries.

Candidates should have 5-years working experience in management of environmental related projects including 3 years activities on life cycle approaches or value chain management and international experience.
