Research

We have a long history of participation in research projects in the field of scientific and technological innovation.

Taking part to research projects like those financed by the EU, where we can contribute to the integration of LCA methodology into other methodologies, represents a great opportunity to enhance our experience, increase our expertise in new fields and interact with major research institutes, universities and companies throughout Europe.

I progetti a cui abbiamo partecipato

Sweetwoods

2018-2022

SWEETWOODS' game changing technology will convert almost all (over 90%) of the hardwood into usable high value biomaterials and bioproducts, establishing novel bio-based value chains with low ecological footprint.

Water2Return

2017-2022

Water2REturn used a Circular Economy approach to turn wastewater treatment facilities in slaughterhouses into "bio-refineries". Nutrients recovered were turned into value added products for the agro-chemical industry.

MyPack

2017-2022

MyPack “Best markets for the exploitation of innovative sustainable food packaging solutions” supported the market introduction of innovative packaging to reduce food and packaging waste.

INCOM

2013-2018

The main objective was to develop techno-economically viable solutions for manufacturing of sustainable lightweight structures for use in vehicles, aeronautical applications and sporting goods.

IP4Plasma

2014-2016

The aim of the project was to bridge the gap between laboratory-scale innovations in the field of atmospheric pressure plasma assisted chemical vapour deposition technology and its industrial implementation.

NanoBAK2

2013-2015

The project scaled up the innovation of a climate chamber for proofing and cooling with an innovative, energy-saving ultrasonic-based humidification system for the manufacture of high quality products in SME bakeries.

Succipack

2012-2014

SUCCIPACK aimed to support European industry efforts to introduce biobased polybutylene succinate (PBS) as a new material on the food packaging market.

INTeg-Risk

2008-2013

The main goal of iNTeg-Risk – Project was to establish a holistic approach for facing the challenge of emerging risks, due to new materials and technologies, within the next 15 years.

PlasmaNICE

2008-2012

The main objective was to develop equipment for in-line atmospheric plasma deposition of functional nanocoatings on various fiber- and polymer-based substrates.
